On Sunday 27th march 2011,the enthusiastic volunteers of Umeed spread the word of our initiative in many colleges of Jaipur.Now more volunteers will join us,and Umeed will be a step closer to its aim of collecting more helping hands than there are needy.The wave of empathy will spread like a ripple in the river that has no logical end...

A visit to the orphanage "Vatsalya" on 5th feb 2011[12 pics]
5th February , 2011 witnessed the second venture of Umeed this time supported by a larger number of volunteers. This house of love and benevolence, Vatsalya is an orphanage for deprived children. Our volunteers spent 4 hours playing, dancing and singing with skilled but unfortunate little angels.
Some scholars imparted knowledge about various teachings of life and went on to teach diverse subjects, moments ticked by and when it was time to part ways, all felt an instinctive urge to return. Since then, being governed by the same instinct, Umeed continues the compassionate practice of visiting Vatsalya thrice a week.

Umeed's poster cum photo exhibition held In Amity During its Annual fest[11 pics]
Umeed hosted its first ever Poster cum Photo exhibition on the themes avoiding road accidents, drinking and other social issues at the Amity university's campus. The event got innumerable responses and various students from different streams participated. Prizes were also awarded to the best entries.
